I do GCSE Resistant materials and i am having trouble doing my specification, if you could also post the answer to the question above however concerning the manufacturing process and environmental issues
Ergonomics refers to the ‘fit’ of the product to the human user.
Without some knowledge of the product, the rest of your question is unanswerable.

what is ergonomics and how it i related to human factors?
what is ergonomics and how it i related to human factors?
Ergonomics is the science of designing user interaction with equipment and workplaces to fit the user. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which can develop over time and can lead to long-term disability.[1]
The International Ergonomics Association defines ergonomics as follows:[2]
Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.
Ergonomics is employed to fulfill the two goals of health and productivity. It is relevant in the design of such things as safe furniture and easy-to-use interfaces to machines.

Could computer ergonomics be to blame for my shoulder pain?
Recently my shoulder has been bothering me if I raise my arm above parallel with the ground. The only other time it hurts is when I’m at work, in front of the computer, using the mouse. Is this an ergonomics problem? If so, is my employer obligated to pay for treatment?
If it is a ergonomic problem which it sounds like it might be your employer would have to pay for medical treatment.
This would be a workers compensation claim and employers often try fighting these kinds of claims however you have rights as an employee. Look on your state’s workers compensation website and you can find out what your legal rights are. I know CA workers compensation but I have no idea what state you are living in. Good Luck.
What to include in an ergonomics report for a manual can crusher. 10 pts?
The can crusher will be wall mounted, with a lever being pulled down, This will be attached on to a flat plate, which will press down on the can and crush it. An ergonomics report needs to written for this project. What shouldf i include, and how should i write it. Please help, am completely clueless when it comes to ergonomicss
Ergonomics is how the operator interacts with the object, right? So the first step is to figure out the steps that the operator takes in using the can crusher. He walks over to it carrying a can, reaches up to put the can in place, reaches up to grab the lever, applies a force to pull the lever down, reaches up to remove the crushed can, and carries the can away.
Then, figure out what could go right, what could go wrong, and what could be improved in those steps. Just off the top of my head, maybe the can crusher is mounted too high. Maybe the force required to pull the lever is too large, or it has to be applied at an awkward angle. Maybe the pressure on the hand from pulling the lever is too high. Maybe the crushed can has sharp edges that could cut you. Maybe crushing one can at a time takes too long.
Think about that kind of stuff, and I think you’ll do fine. I hope that helps!
Does anyone knows where I can study Computer Ergonomics and any renowned Ergonomist that I can partner with?
I am an African who needs a further study in the field of Ergonomics to accentuate my flair for this practice.
More to this, I need to work with an Ergonomist urgently.
To further your study in computer ergonomics, do visit this site: "http://ergo.human.cornell.edu/" You can also find in that site a contact link to a computer ergonomics professor who can help you more with regards to your question.
Are businesses legally required to provide proper ergonomics for their employees?
I’m a web programmer, and I’ve been getting pains in my wrist after a long spell of typing. I think this could be corrected by my either getting a more ergonomic keyboard or a wrist rest of some sort. If I asked my boss to provide me with more appropriate ergonomics, are they legally required to just like they are supposed to avoid any other type of pain-inflicting incident on a companys’ employees? (like chemists need gloves, construction workers need hard-hats)
Ergonomics have been a debate for years, OSHA wants it in the CFR but the industries have fought it successfully, OSHA has guidelines but as of now there are no hard and fast regulations regarding ergonomics
How do I go back to work with a disbility and poor ergonomics?
I have been recently diagnosed with significant thoracic outlet syndrome. It has put me out of work at the moment. I am in so much pain it’s horrible, I started having trouble last April while at work but no one could diagnose me with anything. January I was in a great deal of pain and couldn’t sit at my desk, type or do anything. I went through all the tests and the neurologist sadi I’m in bad shape. I was never injured in an accident and I sit at work in a terrible work environment. NO ERGONOMICS AT ALL! I asked for them and I was told "they don’t use those here" I went and bought myself a mouse and keyboard pad but that didn’t do anything. My chair is old and falls down when I sit on it..no arm rests. Monitor is ancient, tiny and too low. No paper holder..I had everything on my desk and looking down when typing (I do a lot of data entry) which is what caused this. I’m right handed and this is on my right side. How do I go back to work in those conditions? HELP!
Sadly to say, but without a unionized environment you are between a rock and a hard place. Seems the company has already told you that they aren’t willing to accommodate your situation. How long have you been there? Do you enjoy that place so much that you would fight and most likely not come out the winner? If finances arent a great issue, I would go off on sick leave, get as well as you can and move on to a better employer.
What is an example of an injury due to bad office ergonomics?
I’m doing an assignment for school on office ergonomics and have come across a question where I need to talk about the symptoms, cause, treatment and prevention of 3 different ergonomic-related injuries, but I have only found two with enough information so far..
The two I’ve found are ‘Osteoarthritis’ and ‘Carpal Tunnel Syndrome’. Does anyone know of a 3rd I could use? Any help would be greatly appreciated ![]()
Lower back pain from bad office chairs.
How does the ergonomics of most chairs impact African-Americans?
Given the ergonomics of most seating / chairs, do Blacks stand a greater risk of suffering as a result of sitting?
No, I got it. This question is in anthropology. Please put it into the correct category, out there, by the back door, the big round category with the cover.
